Why Does Treatment Go Faster With SureSmile?
First, SureSmile treatment begins with a 3-D image of your teeth and their roots and then treatment is planned in 3-D on a computer. This planning is much more precise than what orthodontists used to do using plaster models and 2-D x-rays.
Second, once Dr. Moravec has determined the best position of your teeth on the computer, special prescription wires are bent robotically to move your teeth into that position. He can precisely control where each tooth needs to go to give you the best smile and bite.
Third, with the precision of the planning and the wires every tooth can be moved at the same time. This is marked improvement over what Dr. Moravec had to just a few years ago. Then he bent the wires by hand and could only move a few teeth at a time.
