Practice News and Events

In February 2012 we have started a campaign in our office to promote oral and general health.  Several studies have recently shown that good oral hygiene, which of course straight teeth make easier, not only makes for healthy teeth and gums but promotes overall health, especially of the heart.  All patients and their families can participate. We will hold a quarterly drawing of those helping the cause with the winner receiving a  Nook Tablet.  Ask about it when your in the office.

In mid-January 2012 Dr. Moravec hosted a continuing education event for Dr. Hatia and her staff at Essingston Family Dental in Joliet.   Dr. Moravec highlighted the benefits of the SureSmile orthodontic system.

November 2011 saw the Dr. Moravec and the majority of his staff travel to Costa Rica for a team building retreat.  We brainstormed better ways to serve our patients and their families and went over the latest technological advances in orthodontics and dentistry.  Between meetings we were able to squeeze some pool and beach time, a little dancing(for some), boating, golfing and even zip-lining.

In October 2011 Dr. Moravec held his annual networking meeting with 7 other orthodontic colleagues.  Dr. Moravec met with Drs. Starr, Petty, Rankin, Hutta, Rissinger, Hamliton and Kent. They visited Dr. Starr's office outside of Charlotte before traveling to Kiawah Island, SC.  Dr. Moravec really values the time spent with these other dynamic orthodontists.

In July 2011 Dr. Moravec along with Nina, Amanda, Anna and Michele attended an Invisalign meeting in Rosemont hosted by Dr. Ostreicher of Levittown, NY.  Dr. Ostreicher covered the latest advancements in Invisalign Teen.

In March 2011 Dr. Moravec hosted a continuing education seminar and dinner for 101 local dental hygienists at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.  Dr. Moravec covered four orthodontic topics:  Early treatment, SureSmile, 3-D imaging and temporary anchorage devices.

 

In November 2010 Dr. Moravec gave a lecture on SureSmile and Orthognathic (Jaw Surgery) to Oral Surgery and General Practice residents at Loyola University.  He illustrated how high-tech 3-D imaging enhances treatment predictability and outcomes.
